Going to see Titus Andronicus play at the Wellmont on the 30th!

Titus Andronicus concert? Maybe not.
Dear Santa,
Just give me tickets to the concert please!

On December 30, Titus Andronicus is playing with Passion Pit in Montclair New Jersey at the Wellmont Theater. This has the potential to be my first Titus Andronicus concert. I am already excited.

I'm beginning to come to terms with the thought of winter. New Jersey is getting cold, and school is getting hard. I really miss Bald Head Island.

Titus Andronicus is currently on tour in England and Ireland. Two of my favorite things combined, great music and the homeland.

Has anyone heard of a website called Lookville.com?

Facebook.
What's the point? Who cares if I "just baked cookies!", or I'm "about to go shopping!"? Now the people of obese America really don't have to leave their homes. Facebook is about supposed to be about friends. How do you make a memory with a friend? By staring at a computer for two hours, or getting out and spending time with them? Facebook will be the death of us.

How does one go about starting a band?

Alas, my wish will not be fulfilled. No Titus Andronicus for me! Oh how I wish for the opportunity to rock. I suppose I can jam with my iPod tomorrow night.

There is a slight, scratch that, minuscule chance that I will be going to a Titus Andronicus concert this Saturday! This is extremely exciting because a) I absolutely adore Titus Andronicus b) the only other concert I've ever been to was Celtic Woman. I can only hope that my dream will come true, and my wish will be magically fulfilled, and I will be allowed to rock out with Titus Andromicus this Saturday.

So my latest music obsession is Titus Andronicus. Now my general preferences are sixties music, and Jimmy Buffett, but Titus Andronicus falls under the category of Indie-Rock. I found this band because I know the bass gutiar player. I mean we're not BFFs but I knew he was in a band. So I used my Internet stalking capabilities, (a.k.a. Google) to find out the name of the band. In no time I found out about Titus Andronicus. The name is the title of a minor Shakespearean tragedy. They have two albums out, "The Airing of Grievances", and "The Monitor". What I found most appealing about the band's music besides the amazing sound, is the depth of the lyrics. Titus Andronicus recently performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I highly recommend checking these guys out!

Lost Alliances!

On Friday the eighth, Lost Alliances had the first gig at Ben & Jerry's in Ridgewood NJ. They played five songs, had intermission and then played the five songs over again. Which seems like a drag, but it was actually groovy. I seriously can't wait until their next gig!

I just put a bunch of pictures that I took while on vacation on my blog. I'm going to sort through my pictures and upload some more soon!

I got home yesterday after being away for three weeks. Once I get my pictures in order I'll be sure to post them!

Tomorrow we leave for Bald Head Island. That means today we pack like crazy. I really hope everything goes well. I need to remember to charge my camera battery.

The new pictures are of one of my best friends... Michelle. We decided to take a walk through the Arboretum in our town, and then go to the playground. I'm trying to spend time with my friends before I leave on Saturday.

I am leaving for Bald Head Island, NC this Saturday. The plan is to leave at 6:00 a.m so that we can make a dent in the 650 miles we have to drive. It always seems to take an outrageously long time to get there. BHI is my favorite place in the world, so getting to spend three weeks there is going to be a blast. My family and my best friend's family own a house on the island. I'm definitely going to be taking tons of pictures of the amazing assortment of wildlife the island is home to. We're bringing our dog, (Tasha), there for the first time. I can't wait to see how she reacts to the ocean!

So I created this blog as an assignment in digital photography class. But I actually think it will be fun to have my own photo blog. I've spent a lot of time trying to create beautiful artwork, but I have found it to be very difficult. I think that my talent is taking what is already beautiful, and showing people how amazing it is. I believe that digital photography is my niche.

My first self-assigned project is to document my three week vacation to Bald Head Island, North Carolina in pictures. I guess we'll have to wait and see how that turns out.
